HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY APPOINTS NEW STORE MANAGERS AT BEDWORTH, ATHERSTONE AND ATTLEBOROUGH STORES
The Heart of England Co-operative Society has appointed new managers at its Bedworth Electrix store, Atherstone Shopping Centre and Attleborough Foodcentre.
Chris Tidman, previously Deputy Manager of Atherstone Shopping Centre, has moved to Bedworth Electrix as Manager while Jag Sidhu, Manager of Bedworth, has taken over the store in Atherstone.
Stephen Hole, previously Manager of the Hillmorton Foodcentre in Rugby, has been appointed Manager of the Attleborough Foodcentre.
Chris, aged 48, has worked for the Society for 13 years. This will be the second time he has worked at Bedworth. He has also previously worked in Nuneaton.
He said: “I am really looking forward to the new challenge but also to working with old colleagues and re-acquainting myself with some old customers.
“I will miss the staff and customers in Atherstone though.”
Meanwhile Jag, aged 32, started with the Society as a 19-year-old part-time Sales Advisor. Gradually his hours increased and he began to climb the ladder.
He said: “I am really looking forward to my new role at Atherstone. It is a bigger store than Bedworth as there are more departments and whereas there I managed a team of five, here I will be looking after nine people. It will be different but it should be good.”
Stephen’s appointment as Manager of the Attleborough Foodcentre marks one more step up the ladder. He joined the Society in August 2005 as Manager of the Tile Hill Lateshop. After a few months he was moved to the larger Hillmorton Foodcentre as Manager. The Attleborough Foodcentre is his largest store to date.
He said: “When I started with the Society I was managing a team of about 12. Today I am managing a team of 20 and the store is larger in all aspects including size, capacity and turnover. So it is still a fresh challenge but it is one I’m enjoying.”
Stephen is married to Michelle and has four children. The couple live in Northampton.
