HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY FUNERAL DIVISION
TAKES DELIVERY OF THREE NEW JAGUARS
The Heart of England Co-operative Society has invested more than £225,000 in its growing fleet of specialist funeral vehicles.
Society Chief Executive Ali Kurji and Funeral Division General Manager Darryl Smith were handed the keys to the three brand new Jaguars – worth £85,000 each - from Jaguar Cars Managing Director Geoff Cousins.
The vehicles – one hearse and two limousines - have all been specially converted and mark the latest exciting phase in the Society’s relationship with Jaguar. Over the last six years the Society has invested in a total of 14 Jaguar vehicles at a cost of almost £1.2 million.
The investment follows the recent announcement that the Society is in the midst of a £1.3 million development to create a purpose-built specialist funeral home and garage facilities in Coventry from where the vehicles will run.
Darryl Smith said: “These new vehicles mark the latest phase in our continuing programme of investment within the Funeral Division.
“Our aim is to provide our client families with the best possible service and to ensure they and their loved ones travel in comfort and style.
“Our fleets are among the most up to date in the area with first class vehicles which are borne out of Coventry’s motoring heritage.”
Earlier this year the Society’s Funeral Division also took delivery of two brand new Ford Galaxys, collectively worth £48,000.
The Society also has plans to invest a further £50,000 in two private ambulances later on in this year.
Darryl Smith added: “This substantial level of investment clearly demonstrates the Society’s philosophy of being at the heart of the community as well our ongoing commitment to providing a first class service to our clients and offering them the ultimate in style and comfort.”
