HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY’S CAROL TAKES THE HELM AT MERIDEN LATESHOP
Carol McKenzie

Carol McKenzie has been appointed Store Manager of the Heart of England Co-operative Society’s Lateshop in Meriden.

Carol, who joined the Society at the beginning of 2007, had previously held the role of Trainee Manager at the Foodcentre in nearby Balsall Common.

The 45-year-old, who lives in Kings Heath, Birmingham, said the store had already started to benefit under her leadership.

She said: “I made quite a few changes right from day one in the store. Already we have seen sales increase and one thing I am actively encouraging among the staff is in-house training.

“In my short time with the Meriden Lateshop staff and customers have seen the benefit of the changes. This is my first managerial role with the Society and I am loving it.”

Before joining the Society Carol, a mother-of-five had worked as a Stock Controller and Supervisor for one of the main supermarkets.

When not at work Carol devotes her spare time to her family.
