The Heart of England Co-operative Society is looking forward to a bright summer with a sensational line up of scrumptious products that are perfect for outdoor dining and barbecues.

Following on from the successful conversion of the Society’s whole chickens, fresh chicken fillets and pieces to its higher welfare Elmwood British chicken, the retailer, which has a chain of Foodcentres and Lateshops across Coventry, Warwickshire and south Leicestershire, is introducing own-brand Elmwood barbecue chicken products for spring and summer.

The farms used for the Elmwood chickens are some of the best in the poultry business, ensuring that the Society’s higher welfare standards are adhered to at every level. By nurturing the chickens for longer in more enriched, naturally lit sheds, the Co-operative can guarantee perfectly tender, moist and flavoursome meat.

Elmwood barbecue chicken products include sweet chilli chicken kebabs, chicken tikka kebabs and garlic and herb, Chinese seasoned or even hot and spicy chicken thighs and drumsticks amongst many others. Perfect for a summer garden soiree when the sun shines.

All fresh barbecue chicken, beef, pork and sausage products from the Society are 100 per cent British. The Truly Irresistible fresh pork products and sausages are made from Freedom Food-accredited, outdoor-reared Hampshire-breed pigs.

The Society also stocks everything else required for outdoor eating, from seasonal summery salads, dressings and dipping oils to barbecue condiments and barbecues themselves, as well as a fantastic range of wines, beers and spirits.

The Society also stocks a mouthwatering selection of Truly Irresistible sparkling juice drinks, plus a Truly Irresistible English apple crush made using apples from the retailer’s own farms.

The sensational summer range will be rolled out into stores from Monday April 20th.
