CHRIS APPOINTED MANAGER OF THE CRICK LATESHOP

The Heart of England Co-operative Society has appointed Chris Farrelly Store Manager at its Crick Lateshop.

The appointment marks another step up the career ladder for 25-year-old Chris who has worked for the Society for nine years.

Chris, who lives with partner Danielle Greer in Coventry, started at the Earlsdon Foodcentre where he worked on the tills. While still in Earlsdon, he joined the Society’s trainee manager scheme and went on to become Deputy Manager of the store.

In July last year he was made manager of the Long Itchington Lateshop – a position he held until his latest appointment earlier this month.

Chris said: “I feel very loyal to the Society. They have shown their trust in me over the years and I hope I am giving something back to them. I really support their whole ethos - it is not about pounds and pence here, it is about the bigger picture, both environmentally and for the benefit of the customer.”

Chris believes his ability to consistently meet and beat sales targets at Long Itchington has led to his appointment at Crick.

He said: “Crick is bigger than Long Itchington so it will be more of a challenge. But it is something I am looking forward to.”

The Crick Lateshop is due for a full refit and Chris is confident that with the new store and his new team behind him he can continue to exceed expectations.

He said: “I see a big opportunity to grow sales at Crick.  We want to give the residents in the village a store they can be proud of.”
