The Funeral Division sets consistently high standards.
The Division is renowned for
providing a professional caring service at a fair price
to more than 2000 local families every year
There
are nine funeral homes - three in Coventry and others
in Barlestone, Bedworth, Earl Shilton, Nuneaton, Royal
Leamington Spa and Rugby.
The two most recent additions are a brand new purpose
built funeral business in Ansty Road, Coventry, and Gillivers
of Barlestone, a family run firm which has been acquired
to enhance the society's service offering in Leicestershire.
The Division recently acquired three more new Jaguar Daimlers
valued at £225,000 in total, bringing its fleet
to nine, and representing a total investment in vehicles
of more than £670,000.
The Heart of England Co-op Funeral Division is believed
to be the only funeral operation locally to fund its drivers
to take the Institute of Advance Motorists Course, while
the Division has also introduced a special one-day manual
handling course for staff, recognised by the CIEH (Chartered
Institute of Environmental Health).
A key to our success is a determination never to oversell
to bereaved relatives.
Our staff are trained to identify a suitable funeral
arrangement at the right price for the family concerned
and are discouraged from selling more expensive funerals
to those who cannot afford them.
The Heart of England Co-op also
operates a pre-paid funeral scheme. Each individual funeral
plan is an individual life insurance policy placed with
Co-operative Insurance Services (CIS) giving clients total
security for the money they have paid in advance

The Funeral Division has recently
been re-recognised as an Investor in People by the
Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, a tremendous
tribute to the dedication of our staff and in turn
the level of service we offer. |
